My memories of Uncle Chester are from the visits he made to Toronto in the 1980's and 90's to visit his extended family here. What an amazing gentleman he was - so polite, so kind, so wise and insightful, and hilariously funny. His calm southern manner made quite an impression, and his peace with God despite the loss of his dear Joan were a testament to the virtue of contentment. We remember him tonight in our prayers and wish the same resiliency of spirit and forbearance for all of you who were so close to him over the years.
