Some thoughts about "My Uncle Chester".

Chester was a man of many positive attributes, some of which were: LADIES MAN My aunt Joan was playing the violin at a church in Toronto when RG Letourneau asked she and her friend to tour with him in the United States where she met Chester. It must have been love at first sight because she left her home and family in Toronto not too long afterwards to spend the rest of her life with Chester! Joan's family were surprised that she would leave them and Canada so quickly after meeting this romantic American. HUSBAND After meeting Chester, her family in Canada quickly learned that she had made a wise choice. Joan and Chester were very happy and had a wonderful life together raising their five children. FATHER I saw first hand what a great father Chester was as I spent many summers living with he and my aunt Joan. He made me feel like one of the family and I never felt like an outsider. UNCLE Chester was a loving uncle to me as well as to all the children of Joan's sisters and brother in Canada. He visisted us on several occasions and attended family reunions with us in Canada - even after Joan's death. Every one of his Canadian relatives remember Chester as a kind, gentle, intelligent and loving man and were proud to have him as a family member. Jackie Bowles ("Bunny")
