I think it's worth mentioning that the reason I fell in love with Andrea (that's going WAY back (!)) was her sense of calm and tolerance. So loving, so laid back, so non-judgemental (she has since become way more like me (;) ), but I do think I've been at least minimally affected by those virtues of hers). The wellspring of said virtues appears to be her mom, and I'm sure it is not a coincidence that she spent a large part of her formative years with family in Texas, in particular Chester & Joan. It is sad that we seem to be becoming more intolerant and less gracious as a society - so I think we need to pay tribute to such greats as Uncle Chester when the opportunity arises, and for our children to be exposed to similar models of virtuous behaviour whenever we can do so.
